User Roles & Management
Overview
MetaRouter provides the ability for Admins to assign role-based permissions to users in their Organization. These permissions allow users to view MetaRouter tools and edit configurations.
Adding, Removing & Changing User Roles
You will designate someone at your business an Admin during your MetaRouter onboarding experience, which will be facilitated by your Customer Success Manager. Admins can manage organization users by navigating to Admin → Settings → User Management. This Admin role will be able to:
- Invite new users
- Assign a user to one of the below roles
- Edit user roles
- Delete users from your organization
Available Roles
Role | Description |
---|---|
Admin | Allows the user to manage user access including inviting users, assigning roles, editing roles and deleting users. |
Deployment Manager | Allows the user to deploy pipelines to the cluster from the UI. |
Integration Manager | Allows the user to configure integrations and pipelines and stage them, but does not allow deployment of integrations and pipelines. |
Read-Only | Allows the user to view all tools, including integration and pipeline configuration within the UI, but does not allow any configuration. |
Login Options
There are three currently supported options for creating a MetaRouter account. The available types are:
- Email/password login
- Authentication via Google OAuth
- Authentication via Microsoft Azure Active Directory SSO.
Once you have created an account via one of these methods, do not attempt to login via another method. For example, if you authenticate with Google OAuth, and then try to login with an email/password, you will not be able to access your account.
Additional Considerations
Does MetaRouter support Single Sign-On (SSO)?
Yes, we support SSO via Azure AD and Google at this time. We may add support for additional SSO vendors in the future.
